RECENT EVENTS!

Science for Fun Activities:
Wellness Week:  (Pre Covid)
Recently all the primary & secondary schools in Finglas & Cabra took part in 'Wellness Week' which aimed to promote positive mental health & spread the message to TALK!
In  St. Joseph's G.N.S. lots of fun activities took place during the week such as:
  • Daily mindfulness activities for Junior & Senior Infants.
  • A 'Walk & Talk' for 1st & 2nd class.
  • 3rd & 4th class practiced relaxation & mindfulness in our Relaxation Room.
  • Exercise circuit training for 5th & 6th class.
  • A 'YELLOW DAY' has held
  • Happy music was randomly played in the yard at break-times.
  •  3rd class went to Erin's Isle and joined approx. 1000 children from the Finglas & Cabra schools to form the word TALK on the pitches in Erin's Isle. The photo was taken from the Garda helicopter & featured on the Garda Twitter account.
  • All children in the school received a magnet to promote talking about feeling in the home.
  • A Wellness Fair took place in Erin's Isle. There was a healthy breakfast, a performance from the Forever Young Choir, a guest speaker and lots of stands and stalls. It was a fantastic success with over 200 people passing through the doors.
