IMPORTANT DATES:
School Reopens 28th August 25
A very warm welcome back to St. Joseph’s for the new school year, and welcome to all of our new families throughout the school. We wish pupils, teachers and parents a very happy and successful school year.
The school will reopen on 28th August 2025. Junior Infants day will run from 9 - 11:30 until 5th September. They will then be in until 1:40.
we do ask for your patience over the coming weeks, as our caretaker Des engages in industrial action. des, and the secretaries and caretakers around the country have the Board of Management and staff's full support in their industrial action with the Department of Education and Youth. We hope for a speedy outcome, but we do ask for patience in dealing with some issues which may arise.
We have a number of new teachers on the staff this year. We wish Mr. Mulligan, Ms. Gannon and Ms. Smith all the best in settling into life in St. Joseph’s.
Assembly takes place on the first Tuesday of every month. Classes will still perform, we will still have Pupil of the Month and Gaelgóir na Míosa.
Unfortunately, teachers cannot facilitate the distribution of birthday cakes, party bags or other such material due to the presence of a number of food allergies in the class. It is not a measure we want to take, or are happy about taking, but the health and safety of our children and staff has to come first.
We look forward to seeing you all again and I am confident 2025/26 will be a very successful year for all in our school community.
Yours Sincerely,
Lar Hayden
Principal
