Pieta House Amber Flag award!
Last year, our school applied for the Amber Flag award: An initiative organised by Pieta House which promotes positive mental health in primary and secondary schools across Ireland. Our amber flag committee worked really hard to organise lots of events in our school including a fundraiser, coffee morning, art competition and a whole school display. Although our year was cut short in March, our hard work paid off and our Amber Flag now proudly waves outside our school!
Ms McQuaid would like to thank last year’s Amber Flag committee; Lexie, Emily C, Leah, Skye, Jacinta, Eileen, Emily M and Kayleigh for all of their hard work and wonderful ideas they shared. Well done girls! (Photo Taken Pre-Covid)

RETIREMENT OF MRS MOLUMBY
Friday 2nd October was a sad day for St. Joseph’s as we said goodbye to Mrs. Ann Molumby. Mrs Molumby had been a teacher in our school for 18 years. We gave her a very special send off with each class performing a song for her in the yard. We also presented her with a homemade ‘St. Joseph’s Tree’ made up of circles decorated by each child. Huge thanks to Mrs. Molumby for her amazing dedication to the children in our school. She was a wonderful teacher and the children really flourished under her guidance. We wish her a long and happy retirement.
